This is my artwork to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the battle of the Somme. My painting was inspired by a Poem by The next William Shakespeare, aka Brian Kinlan as a collaborative piece. It is part of a two part pop up gallery. Local artists have all collaborated with Brian depicting their own artistic style based on a chosen poem. The exhibition is now open at Coffeevolution in Huddersfield from 2nd till 3rd July and then in Halifax at The Loom Lounge 9th and 10th July.

My latest commissioned pet portrait is complete. This is Pepper! As with all my portraits i used the lovely Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils on a smooth paper with white gel pen as highlights on the whiskers.
If you would like your own portrait like this one or of a person you can find the price list on my Pet & Horse Portrait Page. There's a new painting in the Landscapes and Seascapes gallery! This is a small acrylic painting. I'm loving painting garden scenes at the moment and it's nice to have a smaller piece to add to the collection!
After having almost a year of using nothing but pencils i decided it was time for a change so i brought the paints back out and painted this serene little scene of a water garden. And i finished it just in time for the first day of spring too! This canvas will be available to buy soon and hopefully there will be prints available too. If you are interested in any of these products please contact me on via my Contact Me page.
2015 was a busy year for me! At the beginning of it i decided i would set myself the task of completing all the challenges for the coloured pencil magazine! It was tough going at times as some of the images really weren't suited to my style, but i got over the hurdles and i am very proud to say that i completed them all and won a years subscription to the magazine! Suffice to say i haven't done much painting recently as i discovered my love of coloured pencils, but i'm hoping to creating some more beautiful painting in 2016!
If anyone is interested in purchasing a print of any of my pencil artworks please contact me here! Do you fancy joining me for my next Pinot and Picasso evening at Craft and Crumpet later on in the year? If you do this is the image we are going to be painting! The stunning Northern Lights in the snow. I painted this today and this original canvas will be making its way to Craft and Crumpet for you all to see. You can either work as a couple, painting across two canvases or singly as i have done here. It will make the perfect picture to hang and show off to family and friends over the festive period, or why not give it as a special hand made present to someone you love.
Last night's Pino & Picasso workshop at Craft and Crumpet was a huge success and really enjoyable. A great group of people, wonderful food supplied by the lovely Shirley at Craft and Crumpet, candlelight, wine and of course painting, what more could you ask for! Everyone produced fantastic artwork! Some painting the whole scene on their own whilst couples worked as a team painting their canvases to join together. My husband came along with me to paint the other half of my canvas, it was great fun! The next Pinot and Picasso evening is planned for October and will be a winter theme! More news to on that to follow!
There's more exciting news for you all! My products are now stocked in 4 different galleries in the North West of England! The most recent additions being Krafters Korner in Padiham and now Craft and Crumpet in Lancashire! You can find my prints and greeting cards in both shops but not only that i am now doing more workshops, this time at Craft and Crumpet! I am running my Introduction to acrylic painting as well as a brand new (and very exciting) workshop, Pinot and Picasso. This workshop will be run on a night and has a twist in that not only will we be painting but we will also be drinking wine and eating cheese! All you have to turn up with is a bottle of wine and the rest will be provided! Sound like fun? Check out my workshop page for dates and details on how to book!
